Ad Hoc Grants
One-off grants can be awarded to applicants who can demonstrate a particular need, within the limitations imposed by our trust deed (broadly meeting the residence criteria and in a situation of "need, hardship or distress".
There are no age or other restrictions and whether arising from long-term hardship, changes in circumstances or emergency situations, all applications are judged on their own merits.
All grants are awarded at the Trustees discretion and the Trustees reserve the right to make whatever enquiries they consider appropriate to verify the circumstances and qualification of the applicant. In some cases payments of grants may be made directly to third parties rather than the applicant.
What is the Ancient Parish?
The Ancient Parish of Burham is the old Parish before the boundaries were redefined in 1988. Broadly it comprises most of Burham Village (as far south as Petts Farm) and Burham Court, plus parts of Burham Common and the older parts of Bluebell Hill village (now officially in the Parish of Aylesford). The map below shows the full extent of our area. For precise details please contact us.

In exceptional circumstances the Trustees can consider applications from the immediate vicinity of the Ancient Parish if sufficient case can be made for the applicant to be considered as resident.
How do I apply?
If you have a need and believe you may qualify for a grant or are aware of a situation where a grant may be appropriate please e-mail us
with details or contact one of the Trustees directly (see the Further Information page).
