Winter Fuel Grant 2010

  • Applications for grants towards the costs of winter fuel bills are invited from residents of the Ancient Parish of Burham

    • To qualify for assistance applicants should:

    • be aged 65 years or over
    • have lived within the boundaries of the Ancient Parish for the past 10 years (see general Grants page for a map of the Parish Boundaries).
    • have a weekly HOUSEHOLD income, i.e. the total income from all occupants, not exceeding £225 for single occupancy or £285 for multiple occupancy.  For this purpose, income is determined after deducting half of rent payable (rent after deducting any housing benefit received) and ignoring attendance allowance and similar state benefits and credits

    • Applications should be on the prescribed form only and must be returned to the address on the form by 26th November 2010.

    Only one application per household will be considered and all Grants are discretionary.

    The Trustees reserve the right to make such enquiries as they believe necessary to confirm entitlement to the grant.
