The George Day Fund for School Treats

In the early 1900's local businessman and property owner George Day left a bequest in his will to provide "treats for the children of Buham"

Nearly one hundred years later the fund he created still exists, and provides between £300 & £400 per year to provide annual treats for the children attending Burham C of E Primary School.

The fund is administered by Burham United Charities but is a Registered Cahrity in it's own right.

 In recent years we have funded pantomimes, school days out and visiting entertainers, enabling the school to broaden the childrens experience and above all enabling them to have some fun!
